Hodgson needs to get active!

One of the things I enjoy about watching football is the Manager on the touchline pulling out his hair, heading every ball, feeling every tackle! The emotion on their faces is clear for all to see. The passion for the game takes over and despite all the cameras around they do get carried away and it's great to see!

It seems the only Manager that shows very little passion is England Manager Roy Hodgson. He never shows anger when a player isn't doing his job, he just sits down while his team defend. The only time he seems to move is to clap a goal or shot.

Maybe I'm being harsh, you don't get to manage a national side without being good at your job; but Roy please show some passion!

He is the leader and by that he should be setting an example. If a player looks over to see the gaffer sitting comfortably then he must think he's playing well!

Let's look at the former West Bromwich Albion's boss's body language in the first half; he sat down and smiled as his England side poured forward and played some great football. Very easy on the eye and Roy just sat back and watched. Sorry, but he should have been up and encouraging them, a cheerleader, if you like.

In the second half England had their backs to the wall so let's see what the Manager was doing; sitting down! This is when he should be barking out orders left, right and centre!

Now people will say about his age and management style; sorry but every player looks up to the Manager and if he's sitting down doing sod all, what message does that send?

Lead by example or you might as well give the players a kick in the balls.
