Inter need to earn their Spurs

After the excitement of the Champions League it's now the Europa League's turn to put itself in the spotlight. At White Hart Lane tonight I'm sure most people will want another 'Gareth Bale' show but Spurs are so much more than that. Jermaine Defoe is back in the squad and Aaron Lennon is in fine form. AVB has them playing a nice style of football and they work as a team once they lose the ball. Goalkeeper Lloris has made the number one shirt his own but Brad Friedal should get the nod tonight; Kyle Walker is performing to his usual high standard; I can't see any reason why they can't go on and win this competition!

What about tonight's opponents Inter Milan? They have been hit by a spate of injuries with Fredy Guarin facing a late fitness test. Coach Andrea Stramaccioni is keeping his cards close to his chest as far as his plan to tackle the in form Welshman. First of all he'll have to see who's fit and go from there.

Tottenham (4-2-3-1) Friedel; Walker, Vertonghen, Gallas, Naughton; Dembele, Parker; Lennon, Bale, Sigurdsson; Defoe.

Inter Milan (4-2-3-1) Handanovic; Zanetti, Chivu, Ranocchia, Juan; Gargano, Cambiasso; Alvarez, Guarin, Pereira; Palacio.

Emmanuel Adebayor is unlikely to be risked as he has suffered a hyper-extension of his knee.

I can see Spurs winning this game with Defoe returning to the goal trail and Bale getting in on the act.

The North London giants will want to have a good lead for the second leg next week or Inter Milan could gave them a kick in the balls.
