Is it time for Agbonlahor to stop being a Villian?

Gabriel Agbonlahor has been at Aston Villa his entire career; a rare thing in football these days. He broke into the side seven years ago at the tender age of nineteen and there is no doubt he loves the club. He was born and bred in Birmingham and has given great service to Aston Villa.

This season hasn't been the best for Villa as they find themselves in a relegation dogfight. Without Christian Benteke they'll be even worse off! Gabriel has scored just six goals.

Is it time for a fresh challenge for the player that can play either on the wing or through the middle?

Every player gets stale at some point; so maybe a move will help him and his International career?

He could quite easily fit into any top ten team. He would be a great asset at either Merseyside club. They are both attacking sides and would suit his style of play.

It would be interesting to see where he'd be played; he's a winger and a striker, the problem is I don't think he knows his best position!

What he needs is one position and stick to it, that way everyone knows what to expect.

Should Aston Villa go down then it really would be a test of loyalty; remember a football playing career isn't a very long one.

If he were to leave Villa Park it would certainly give the Villa fans a kick in the balls.
