Three for Spurs and team AVB‏

Spurs started attacking from the kick off and the goal in the fifth minute from man of the moment Gareth Bale, a header that gave the Inter keeper no chance, was deserved.
Then the Welshman dives for reasons known only to himself! The yellow card he was shown puts him out of the return leg next week.

Spurs kept going forward and just before the twenty minute mark Sigurdsson scored his first goal for the club.
A glancing header by Bale on thirty four wasn't far away.
Spurs keeper Friedel watched most of the first half as he barely touched the ball.
Dembele and Parker ran the midfield with some inch perfect passing.
Tottenham were playing like a well oiled machine, the style AVB has them playing is so easy on the eye.
Not long before the break and Milan seemed to wake up! Alvarez going close.
The whistle was blown for half time and the Premier League side well deserved their two goal lead.
Spurs started a little slow in the second half but in the fifty second minute Vertonghen scored the North London giants third with a header.
Inter's defending was to say the least dire. It was as if they were strangers as marking the Spurs players seemed not to matter.
Passing wasn't far behind as they went astray, even the short ones.
Again Bale got in on goal only to hit the side netting on the hour.
A couple of minutes later Defoe had a shot well saved as Spurs kept up the pressure.
Dembele was then offered the luxury of coming off on sixty five, the crowd giving him the applause he deserved.
Lennon then went close as Spurs looked to increase their lead.
Up the other end Friedel then saved well in the seventy third minute. It was more than certainly against the run of play.
Just before the eighty minute mark Holtby had a shot smothered by the Milan keeper.
The last ten minutes of the game petered out as Tottenham seemed happy with the result.
If the English side get knocked out next week they might as well give themselves a kick in the balls.
