We hope for a quick Rover return and for him to keeper well

Blackburn Rovers Paul Robinson has developed a blood clot after back surgery that will keep the former England keeper sidelined for at least six months. He hasn't played for the Lancashire club since December after back problems. During an operation to fix his back problem he hit complications and a bloodclot was found.

There is one thing for sure and that's the Yorkshire born goalkeeper is as tough as they come. The man between the sticks is the rare breed of keeper that has scored as well as saving countless amounts of shots.

He made his way through the ranks at Leeds United where he stayed for six years before moving on to Tottenham Hotspur where he won his only honour so far, the League Cup in two thousand and eight.

The following season he joined Blackburn Rovers where he is still very much a fans favourite.

Goalkeepers are the toughest footballers; when you run out at a man running towards you at high speed you know there's a good chance you'll get hurt. They just dust themselves down and get on with it.

Best of luck 'Robbo', give that bloodclot a kick in the balls
