What we think will happen in the Premier League; 09/11/13

08/11/2013 09:28

                                                       Aston Villa v Cardiff

Only a point separates these two sides after Cardiff picked up three points in the South Wales derby last week. After ten games Villa have eleven points with their Welsh oppenents on twelve. Both clubs are on minus in the goal difference; that has to be fixed if they don't want to get caught up in a relegation dogfight.

Home advantage could be the key in this one with the two sides evenly matched. Benteke could be the player to make the difference as his fitness levels get sharper.

AKITB's prediction; 2-1 to the home side.

                                                 Chelsea v West Brom

Steve Clarke returns to his former club with a side that are running both hot and cold. Chelsea seem to have got back to form and Stamford Bridge is a fortress.

Can Anelka and Sinclair, on a season's loan from Manchester City, upset the club they once played for?

Samuel E'to scored his first two goals for the club during the week and he is the man they need to watch. Chelsea should have too much for the Baggies and it will be a long afternoon for the defence if the London club hit the right gears.

AKITB's prediction; 3-0 to the home side.

                                                       Crystal Palace v Everton

I do feel sorry for Palace; the club isn't ready for Premiership football! Ian Holloway did as much as he could but he couldn't go any futher; taking so long to pick the next Manager isn't helping anyone.

The Toffees on the other hand are playing with great style and belief and under a new Manager. Roberto Martinez has given the Mersyside club belief in itself and its players and it shows on the park.

One of his first bits of business was bringing in Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to Goodison on loan from Chelsea and the striker will enjoy being back in London.

AKITB's prediction; 1-4 to the away side

                                                   Liverpool v Fulham

The Reds will want to bounce straight back after losing to Arsenal last week and Fulham could be the team they take their revenge on. Brendan Rodgers side could make it the last game in charge for Martin Jol; if Norwich and Stoke pick up points then the Cottagers could be in the bottom three by the end of the weekend.

I fail to see any threat fom the London side, six losses out of ten and the SAS team for Liverpool could have a field day!

AKITB's prediction; 3-0 to the Reds

                                                   Southampton v Hull City

Who would have thought after ten games that the Saints would be sitting nicely in sixth place? The football is very pleasing on the eye and Roy Hodgson, the England Manager, has called Saint Mary's 'a hotbed of football'.  Mauricio Pochettino, the Southampton Manager, has also picked up the Manager of the month award.

But let's not forget Steve Bruce's side are playing well since returning to the top tier of English football. They sit in tenth place after ten games and are just five points behind the team they will play.

AKITB's predication; 2-2 each with the curse of the Manager of the month coming into play.

                                        Norwich City v West Ham

It's testing times at Carrow Road, just eight points from ten games tells it own story. The defence is a major worry with the Canaries goal difference at minus fourteen, seven conceded against Manchester City last week didn't help the Norfolk club.

The Hammers aren't conceding many goals but at the same time they aren't scoring many either. They've scored just eight goals and conceded the same. Big Sam knows his team can do better and the sooner the East London club click in front of goal the sooner they will move up the table.

AKITB's predication; the home side to grab all three points in a 2-1 win.
