Which Premiership club could Messi play for?

Some say he is the best player of all time; nobody can argue that the little man from Argentina has buckets loads of talent.

But what if he wanted to play in the Premiership?

What club would suit his style?

Money is not the issue here as I doubt even Manchester City could afford him in reality!

The Premiership Champions elect would welcome the magic midfielder with open arms. Sir Alex Ferguson would probably ask his nine outfield players to adapt to Messi's style rather than change the little man's style of play. Can you imagine a team that had Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Lionel Messi in it! I'd feel sorry for any side up against those three!

City boss Mancini is used to dealing with big football superstars but even he would be amazed by the little man's skill. The blues play many formations but put Tevez and his countryman together and it would be goals galore. Then add David Villa into the mix and you would have arguably the best three in the world!

AVB has Spurs playing some outstanding football this season and you can't mention Spurs without including the Welsh wizard Gareth Bale. To have both Bale and Messi running at the defence is bad enough for even the best defence in the world but then add into the team an England International forward in Jermaine Defoe; the mind boggles!

Out of all the sides I've written about I think this would be the best choice for the Argentinian! The way they play football would suit Messi's play like putting a hand in a glove. Messi on one side with Theo Walcott running down the other; Oliver Giroud would be on the end of most of the crosses with Jack Wilshere picking up anything loose. What a side that would be!

At Stamford Bridge the question would have to be who would play with Messi? Juan Mata would be a perfect foil with Hazard and Oscar supplying the crosses in with Demba Ba the striker. The only problem with that is you wouldn't have room in the side for fifty million pound man Fernando Torres and I doubt Mr Abramovich would be happy about that.

Brendan Rodgers would love to have the man that breaks records for fun at Anfield. I would even go as far to say he'd build a team around him! But the team he has now would suit Messi well with the form of Luis Suarez and recent signing Daniel Sturridge. With the calming influence of Gerrard in midfield it would give Messi all the freedom in the world to do what he does best; score goals!

Sadly I don't think Messi will ever sign for an English club and that's a shame as he is one of the world's best; at least defenders in the Premiership won't have him flying past them and feel like they've had a kick in the balls.
