Will England be stopped by the man that plays his football in England?

In August 2012 West London club Queens Park Rangers pulled off a massive signing; Julio Cesar from Inter Milan. It was an even bigger surprise as the club had signed England international goalkeeper Robert Green just a few weeks before.

The boss at the time, Mark Hughes, said he wanted competition for places and the man from Duque de Caxias was more than happy to rise to the challenge.

He made his home debut against the European Champions, Chelsea at Loftus Road and proved he was more than up to the challenge keeping a clean sheet and apart from Cup games has kept the number one jersey as his own despite Robert Green's best efforts.

So it was hardly a surprise to anyone at the club that he was called up by his country and is expected to win his sixty fifth cap against England on Wednesday night.

It has to be said the man is in the form of his life, keeping clean sheets against Manchester City and Spurs as well as Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The only goal conceded was against West Ham at Upton Park.

He is up for the award for Player of the Month for January; England will have to play very well to beat a player who is undoubtedly on the top of his game right now and is loving life in England!
